This review is long overdue. Besides the sometimes long waits my personal experience was pretty good. A couple of bumps from staff but from my knowledge are no longer there. Everyone else was lovely. Although I didn’t get to meet Dr. Pemberton until the end of my pregnancy, she answered all my questions and make me feel comfortable. I was planning a birth center delivery but I ended up being two weeks overdue so I had to deliver at Mountainside. After a long induction process Dr. P came in and reassured me that everything was fine. My husband and I were worried about baby’s heart rate so we wanted to have a c section. Dr. P made us relax and spoke to us with such calmness and confidence. We ended up having an amazing vaginal birth and I’m so glad she was there for it. Thank GOD for her!!

I went to make a my yearly appointment and the ladies at the front desk were great. Then I was told the nurse practitioner that I saw the last time doesn't work there anymore. I schedule with someone else. When I went in for my appointment a different nurse practitioner walked in the exam room. I said Hmm. No explanation on the person I was suppose see. Well, I will not be graphic but the exam was not GENTLE. She was very rough getting the sample for the papsmear. And the exam was longing then normal. I had to write this because I do not want anyone to experience what did.

Come if if you want to be triple charged, not called back with results, wait on hold forever to schedule or in the patient center and fed the wrong information. Dr. Pemberton is very nice and they have some gems on the staff but I have never trusted an office less. Every time I deal with them there’s some issue that requires me to jump through loops to figure it out. Zero accountability, urgency, or responsiveness.

Went in to have a procedure done and was told that I may have some issues so I scheduled a follow up appointment and during that appointment they did a biopsy. Shortly after someone called to tell me to schedule my next procedure due to the result of the biopsy, I went in terrified as my mother was previously diagnosed with endometrial cancer. Waited an extreme amount of time to which Dr. Pemberton apologized but honestly I was already in tears. A month later and I still have no results. I have not heard anything. I’ve been rescheduled twice and was even told I would have to be rescheduled a third time. While they may know the results, good or bad, I do not, and it has caused me extreme anxiety. I understand that that is not what they treat, but that is what I’m suffering from right now more than anything. It seems that other patients come before me and that’s fine. Give my results to another doctor so that I can get the care that I need. I don’t want to put off treating myself for something that could be wrong any longer. I have children and we’re all just on pins and needles trying to figure out what’s wrong with mom .

I tried everything possible before writing this review. To say that I am disappointed is an understatement. I went to have my IUD removed back in January, after an unsuccessful attempt to remove in house I had to have it surgically removed. After my surgery no one contacted me to advise they were still not able to find the piece of the IUD I was told was embedded in my cervix wall. My follow-up visit was two weeks later and I was given a script to have an ultrasound done at New Jersey imaging in an attempt to locate the missing piece. This was done at the end of February. No one contacted me to advise the outcome of this ultrasound. I then called the office again to figure out what was going on and the representative from Artemis advised me my IUD was still intact. I asked how could this be possible if I was shown the piece of the IUD that was removed so there is no way it can still be in tact. After placing me on hold for several minutes she advised I needed to wait until the doctor returned on Tuesday. Tuesday came no f/u so I called again they advised Dr. Pemberton would call me back. Another week goes by I call again the same thing Dr. Pemberton will call you back. This continued for almost a month before I finally was scheduled again for an ultrasound in office this past Friday. My appointment was at 11am the ultrasound technician took about 5min did not offer me paper towels or anything to wipe off and told me the doctor will talk to me about my results shorty. At 12:25pm I was taken to the back and advised Dr. Pemberton will see me shortly. 1:22pm came around almost an hour later still no visit from the doctor. At this point I had enough I walked out advised I'd like my information sent else where due to the incompetence of the doctor and office staff. The staff expressed no empathy whatsoever not even a sorry for this lingering since January. I am disgusted and will be filing a formal complaint with the licensing board and a malpractice suit. If I could give 0 stars I would.

From my initial phone call to my actual appointment, it was a GREAT experience! Shavonne, who helped me when I first called, let me know they weren't taking new patients at that moment, but to call back in a month. I read that service here was amazing and didn't want to go elsewhere. So I did just that and she helped me book my appointment. I walked in almost 15 minutes late bc I couldn't leave work on time, but the ladies at the front desk were so kind to me. Amber, who called me to the back, was so much fun, no such thing as laughing too much lol. I had horrible experiences with my last 2 phlebotomists and I was so nervous. Amber paired me with the right one! I barely felt the pinch! I meant to ask her name but she was nice as well. And then Sarah, she was so pleasant and answered all my questions in a way I will understand. She was very nice. I'm big on customer experience, whether giving or receiving, and this office is top notch!

I neglected my own care for years after a traumatic experience that resulted in surgery. My concerns were met with compassion and action. This was the first time that I had medical team issue lab work & tests instead of downplaying or dismissing my concerns. No one questioned my anxieties, no one made me feel like I was making something out of nothing. I completely understand the stressors that erupt with long wait times (on all sides, patient and staff. I'm guilty of expressing it as well), but after this experience I will take the wait for the response, plan of action, and compassion. I cried from the weight being lifted off my chest when I last spoke with Dr. Pemberton. Edith Chau NP also showed me kindness.
